Pleasurekraft go to La la Land!

Artist of the week : Pleasurekraft

Introducing  Pleasurekraft, The brainchild of Kaveh Soroush and Kalle Ronngardh, Pleasurekraft was born in the summer of 2009.

Having had their very first track played  by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection, and then doing remixes for Chymera, and John Acquaviva’s Definitive imprint, Pleasurekraft became a new name to keep an eye on.

Fast forward to the spring of 2010, and the year’s biggest smash hit,  Pleasurekraft’s “Tarantula” was released. It quickly earned the support of the world’s biggest DJ’s, and climbed to the top of the charts, and retained the #1 overall position on Beatport for almost an entire month!

Being hailed by everyone as the year’s biggest track, and already a summer anthem.

On the heels of “Tarantula”, Pleasurekraft are working harder than ever.

While dance music trends come and go, those who stick to a singular vision and belief in the music they consistently produce are always left standingwhen the fads have long gone.

Pleasurekraft is exactly such a group.

Trumpet Expresss

After years of bringing the freshest underground house sounds to an ever-growing following in their home town of Amsterdam, these two Dutch youngsters were catapulted onto the underground house clique following their head turning ‘Fissa Tune EP’ on Exploited earlier this year.

A hypnotic trumpet line combined with the duo’s illusory sampling style and underpinned by beautifully simple, yet pounding house beats, label boss Jesse Rose signed the EP quicker than you can say ‘where can I buy clogs and some tulip oil please?’ :)

‘Behind The Fence’ and ‘The Rules of Hip’ provide an intoxicating change of scene. With the soulful vocals and swelling keys of ‘Behind The Fence’ and the driving conga rhythms and deft beats of ‘The Rules of Hip’ safely in your record bag many a dance floor will be left buzzing over the coming months.
